Representatives from Tyson Foods and ACE Foods, a Vietnamese protein importer, signed a new memorandum of understanding further solidifying their trade partnership. One of the constraints impacting ag production in Vietnam is the lack of space and resources to produce feed, fiber and fuel. Vietnam is looking to expand from a rural agriculture-based economy to an advanced manufacturing market. As that country looks to be a key player in the international market, it is aiming to have net-zero emissions by 2050. This will be the driver of the country’s economic decisions going forward. This opens a wider door for trade growth with Nebraska livestock and grain industries. Our state has the space and resources available to meet Vietnam’s pursuit of zero emissions. I am committed to visiting Vietnam again during my administration. I look forward to cultivating our partnership and making it an enduring one. The interest in Nebraska is genuine. We produce the best product in the world. The people of Vietnam share many of our same values: hard work, dedication, grit and a desire for a better future. I am eager to explore future opportunities involving Vietnam for the betterment of Nebraska agriculture. NC INSIDE TRACK • CONTINUED FROM PAGE 42 provided the services needed at a lower cost.
